With a Zigbee Home Automation 1.2 network, Yale Real Living integrates seamlessly into a wide range of home control and security systems, making everyday living easier and safer.

Users benefit from effortless day-to-day access for simple updates to user information. Yale Real Living is engineered for quick and easy installation and fits in place of a standard deadbolt lock door prep (ANSI/BHMA A156.115 Certified).

*The Yale Deadbolt Lock system will work as a stand alone locking mechanism. To connect to a home automation network, a ZigBee compatible hub is required.

Yale Real Living Keyless Push Button ZigBee Deadbolt is equipped with an illuminated keypad for easy daytime and nighttime entry.

The keypad is made of acrylic to avoid the keypad numbers to wear and to withstand any weather conditions – rain, heat and ice.

Hardware Installation

Yale smart locks fit on standard doors from 1-3/4 in. - 2-1/4 in. and install in minutes with just a screw driver.

Connecting a ZigBee Yale lock with the SmartThings Hub

Required: Make sure the Network Module is installed in the Yale lock

SmartThings mobile app:

  1. Tap My Home
     
  2. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
     
  3. The app will say Looking for devices.
     
  4. While the Hub searches, bring the lock within 10 feet of the Hub, then:
    1. Press any key on the lock
    2. Enter the 4-to-8-digit Master PIN code followed by the # or gear key
    3. Press 7 followed by the # or gear key
    4. Press 1 followed by the # or gear key
    5. Wait up to 60 seconds
       
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
     
  6. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done
     
  7. When finished, tap Save
     
  8. Tap Ok to confirm
