Featuring the Phison S9 controller, the Super Cache 2 is optimized to be used as a wallet-friendly caching solution for every type of PC available. Additionally, MyDigitalSSD takes the guess work out of setting up a cache drive by including a free serial code for FNet HybriDisk cache software with each drive to upgrade your device in a few easy clicks no matter what your experience level.
Below are two tutorials that our tech support team has created to help walk users through the process of upgrading their devices using a Super Cache 2 from start to finish. Enjoy!

What is Caching?
Caching is ideal for users who are looking for a simple way to get SSD speed without changing their current setup or sacrificing storage space. Working in tandem with a spinning hard drive (HDD), utilizing a solid state drive (SSD) as a cache drive will boost overall performance and increase life span of any notebook or desktop PC.
The Way SSD Caching Works
SSD caching fills a partition on a solid state drive (SSD) with the most frequently queued data from commonly used applications rather than storing it on the hard drive it's working with.
For example, a 128GB cache drive will enable users to cache the majority of data from commonly used applications that will, in turn, reduce the wear on the spinning hard drive by calling from the cached information directly from the SSD. A 32GB cache drive will be more discerning about the information cached based on the drive's storage capacity but it will still collect plenty of data to make using programs like Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, or Steam run smoother than previously before.
When new programs, applications, or games are installed, their frequent use information will be automatically be cached to the SSD as well, keeping optimal performance.

Paul, No, the program is specific to caching the system files that run the operating system and program files on the C drive. We kept it as a simple program on purpose to help novice users take advantage of SSD speeds without having to pay SSD money. For the best results as an enthusiast it's recommended to run SSDs everywhere. |
