Synopsis: See what The SSD Review has to say about the 240GB RunCore ProV Max 2.5" SATA III 6Gbps Solid State Drive with Synch Flash, and why its been awarded their Gold Seal approval.

The SSDReview has provided us with yet another great review! This week they dissected the RunCore Pro V Max 240GB 6Gbps SSD.  And after undergoing numerous Benchmark testing, it has earned the Gold Seal approval. Here’s a few things they had to say about this SSD:

“..goes well beyond the results of simulated testing”

“The ProV contains a SATA 3 interface, which is fully compatible with SATA 2, and has TRIM support and a three year standard warranty.”

“The package includes the SSD, a desktop adapter bracket, data cable, screws, installation instructions along with RunCores own Certification, and two Runcore stickers.”

“Our Anvil Benchmarks did well especially when we saw a high of 81,000 IOPS, a result well above RunCores listed specifications. It is not uncommon for manufacturers to be rather conservative in their specs which we have seen here with both transfer speeds and IOPS.”

“Anvil brought forth some lightning fast disk access times and confirms transfer speeds…”

“In comparing SATA 2.0 SSDs, we have reached the bandwidth limit and the performance of most new SATA 2 SSDs is as high as it can get with typical high sequential access speeds in the area of 280MB/s read and 270MB/s write.”

“There were fairly consistent high transfer speeds throughout, whereas, we have normally observed a few tests to shine while several others were standard or even a bit lower.”

“The gold design of this SSD makes it one of the most attractive around, and the inclusion of the desktop system adapter and data cable is a definite plus. As well as the fact that Runcore has moved away from the pre-installed migration software on the SSD”

“The key to the RunCore ProV Max 240GB SSD, in comparison to many other SSDs, is that it relies on synchronous NAND flash memory which is higher performing and more expensive.”
