Jorrit,

That's a first we've heard of such an issue. If you have another USB keyboard handy, possibly borrowing one from a friend, we would suggest giving that a try as well as testing your mouse in that USB slot to make sure that isn't the root of the problem.

I'm following your tutorial. When updating the firmware S5FAM017 in the WINPE environment, I have the problem that my keyboard won't work. I tried a PS/2 and USB keyboard. I plugged both keyboards in and out, but that didn’t help much.
BTW mouse (usb) is working properly.
Any suggestions how to activate the keyboard? Motherboard is set to AHCI. Any advice would be very welcome.

Gull & cstrrider - Let us clarify, Firmware posted in this thread are tried and tested updates that address major performance issues. If we have something that will improve your drive, you can be sure that we will provide it for you in this post. We currently have update 3.5 in-house but have not been provided an exe file as it provides no significant changes to your user experience, contrary to what was previously believed.

If this changes, we will have the update for you here.

Furthermore, we understand your desire for the latest news and updates, and we appreciate MyDigitalSSD's effort in keeping customers informed on potential updates, but please keep in mind that things can occur in testing that are simply out of one's control. Catching these issues now are a good thing so, until a new update is finalized with Phison and then tested at My Digital Discount, take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Barnett - Thank you for your feedback!

"kOFA & Gull - To our knowledge, there are no new Firmware updates planned at this time. This should be all you'll need to speed up your drives."

That's not what you said in notebookreview's forums (http://forum.notebookreview.com/solid-state-drives-ssds-flash-storage/643829-mydigitalssd-msata-ssd-64gb-very-bad-performance-16.html#post8713076).

Here is what you said: "I have not heard otherwise I will try to get an update tonight. If the FW is anything like the new FW they just came out with for the new S8 controller you guys are in for a treat.

My guy was up over in TW. They gave me a hard date of 7/24. They said it is in beta right now.

Barnett - You're quite welcome. Greetings from the US!

Rikbagg - One way to tell is to download the program, run/open it in windows, and it will display the firmware revision. DO NOT start the firmware process if you don't need to, simply exit out.

kOFA & Gull - To our knowledge, there are no new Firmware updates planned at this time. This should be all you'll need to speed up your drives.
