MyDigitalSSD PATA MAX Series 2.5" 44-Pin PATA IDE SSD
MyDigitalSSD PATA MAX solid state drives (SSDs) are high performance/low power consumption replacement/upgrade solutions for traditional spinning hard drives (HDDs).
Due to lack of moving parts such as platter (disk) and head media, PATA MAX drives offer rugged features for extreme environments; including enhanced reliability and durability, unprecedented vibration/shock/temperature tolerances, and a high MTBF thanks to our advanced controller and premium NAND Flash.
Featuring the industry standard 2.5 inch form factor with 44-pin IDE/ATA interface, PATA MAX drives are fully ATA compliant and conform to the same mechanical and mounting requirements as standard hard drives making them easy to install storage solutions for both desktop and mobile PC applications.
Features
Advanced NAND Flash Controller
MyDigitalSSD NAND Flash Control Technology includes Bad Block Management and
Wear Leveling with an enhanced configurable BCH ECC engine.
Bad Block Management
MyDigitalSSD implement a efficient bad block management algorithm to detect the
factory produced bad blocks and manages any bad blocks that may develop over the
life time of the device, unnoticeable to the user.
Wear Leveling
PATA MAX drives support both static and dynamic wear-leveling technology. These
two algorithms guarantee each block of flash memory at same level of erase
cycles to improve lifetime limitation of NAND based storage.
Error Detection/Correction
PATA MAX drives utilize an enhanced configurable BCH ECC engine.
MTBF
The mean time between failures (MTBF) for PATA MAX drives is more than 2,000,000
hours based on the component reliability data using the methods referenced in
the Telcordia SR-332 reliability prediction procedures for electronic equipment.
Management Systems
In general, industrial applications require a more reliable flash media that can
withstand any rigorous environment. With S.M.A.R.T. support, MyDigitalSSD
flash products can be easily analyzed for product status and reliability.
