Synopsis: TweakTown's Tyler Bernath reviews a 128GB iKlips by Adam Elements, to find out if it truly is the world's fastest flash drive for iPhone and iPad.

TweakTown Consumer Storage Editor, Tyler Bernath Unboxes, Reviews, and Benchmarks a 128GB Adam Elements iKlips

iKlips are portable flash storage devices that feature a USB 3.0 connection on one end and an Apple iOS lightning connection on the other, allowing them some of the fastest transfer speeds on the market today.

Additionally, iKlips come in a variety of storage capacities: 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB as well as different colors. To organize your photos, music, video and other files; iKlips come with a free data management app available from the Apple App Store.

Tyler starts off unboxing the 128GB Gold iKlips and looks over the "Red Dot 2015 design" winner, in conclusion says:

"Build quality is top notch and some of the best I have seen in a flash drive, while adding to the presentation was the intense detail in the packaging."

Connecting the iKlips to the iPhone, a prompt appears on screen to direct Tyler to the App store to download and install the iKlips' data management app. The automatic detection of the iKlips storage device, enables easy access to the products app. Tyler compliments the app when working with the iKlips in his conclusion:

"With the iKlips, I was very pleased in how easy it was to navigate and use, even backup."

Sequential read/write testing for the iKlips bought some pretty impressive results, that really pushed over other iPhone storage devices from SanDisk, Photofast and Strontium. Read speeds performed above the expected speeds of 170MB/s, yet write speeds fell a little below of 40MB/s. Despite the lower than expected write speeds, the iKlips performs at least twice as fast as the nearest competitor:

"Performance was as marketing described the best we have seen for a Lightning flash drive with read touching 157 MB/s. Write performance, while underperforming if we go by marketing numbers, was still respectable at 42 MB/s."

In conclusion, Tyler had a really positive experience with the 128GB Gold iKlip. From the overall packaging to the Red Dot award winning flash drive design, to the ease of setting up and using the app, the extremely fast sequential read and write speeds compared to similar brands, all amount to a worthwhile impression.

After all was said and done, the iKlips ended up walking away with TweakTown's "Best Performance Award" with an 86% overall rating.
