The Low Insertion Force Solid State Drive (LIF SSD) is an alternative to conventional SSDs that utilizes a LIF socket, technology created to reduce stress on chips in order to improve their durability.

The RunCore Pro IV LIF SATA SSD for Mac is a NAND Flash Memory upgrade for revisions B and C of Apple's Macbook Air laptop.

As part of RunCore's Pro IV line of SSDs, it provides increased speed, silent operation, longer battery life, heat reduction and reliability, making it the perfect solution for all applications. With no moving parts or seek time, this SSD eliminates the bottleneck that traditional hard disk drives have, enabling speed increases up to 210 MB/s for both the HDD and SSD versions of the Macbook Air.

The Pro IV LIF SATA SSD comes with an easy three-step do-it-yourself upgrade kit that gives you all the tools you need and simplifies the process so that even novice computer users can easily complete it. Each SSD includes a High Speed USB 2.0 HDD case and USB 2.0 cable to clone your existing drive and turn it into an external USB drive, hard drive cloning software, screwdrivers and stickers.
