Review comment this msata (mpcie) ssd is so blazing fast it boots up my windows 7 64bit laptop, 8gb of ram, ati radeon hd 7470M discrete card, core i7 2640M in app. 30 secs from cold boot. that is swift.

See review 03/03/12. Still a great product and works fine in the Dell but I did not do my homework. The Dell mSATA slot is only SATA II (3GB/s) so this card is a bit overkill. Apparently there is some benefit from the SATA 6GB interface on the card but, in the Dell M4600 (or 6000 series), the value for money is less. I could likely have saved some money with a SATA II card. The Runcore does come with a nice adaptor card to allow it to be used in a regular SATA slot.

Review comment Added it to my Dell Precision M4600 end Feb 2012 (with the new firmware mentioned). I started with the Dell (Samsung) 256 SSD in the HD bay. Cloned the OS and Dell partition over to the Runcore and now boot from this data (user files etc) on the larger SSD. Works great - very fast with the SATA 6GBs interface.

Review comment Don't buy this item for Dell M4600 laptops, it doesn't work. There's a compatibility issue, despite RunCore's claims. Totally useless. MyDigitalDiscount Note: As of January 1st, 2012 All Runcore Pro V mSATA drives feature the newest firmware that allows them to work on the Dell Precision M4600.
