DAVID Vision Systems

DAVID Vision Systems offer hardware and software products for optical 3D surface acquisition that primarily uses laser-based techniques (for your PC, including Windows 2000, XP and Vista) at affordable prices.  Additionally, DAVID offers free downloadable software updates on their Web site.

Each DAVID Laserscanner 3D Scanning System offers complete Starter-Kits equipped with a high-resolution webcam, a hand-held laser and THREE different size background boards that accommodate those larger objects to scan, so you can start scanning right from the box.

The DAVID Laserscanner, aside from its affordability, uniquely provides a manual laser to sweep over the object, by hand, until the results are sufficient. While scanning, the Laserscanner Software generates 3D data in real time and displays it on the computer screen, capturing even fine surface details of less than 0.2 mm.  The resulting 3D mesh can be exported into standard file formats (OBJ, STL, PLY), and imported and processed in most 3D applications.

The Laserscanner Professional Edition is also offered by DAVID separately on a USB drive.  This even less expensive 3D scanning software option is ideal for those whom already own some or all of the required equipment.

DAVID Vision Systems also contain several complimentary products such as cameras, Line Laser Modules, software and Starter-Kits to improve scanning quality!
