Full web browsing
With an 800 pixels wide resolution and a 5”
screen1, you can browse the Web in
full width just like on your PC. No need to zoom
in and out, web pages are fully displayed on the
ARCHOS screen. Plus, with Adobe Flash™ 9 video
support, you can natively browse video-sharing
websites such as Dailymotion™ or Youtube™.

Full email application
Once connected to a WiFi network,
the ARCHOS 5 email software lets you to check
your emails whenever you want. You can see the
number of awaiting emails right on the ARCHOS 5
home screen, reply to emails, or share
attachments with anyone. The ARCHOS email
application is the feature that lets you stay in
touch while on the go.
You will be up and running in just few taps,
receiving your emails from all your standards
POP accounts. The only question is: how many
accounts can YOU handle?
With your ARCHOS 5 you can manage, import or
export them as vCards, and switch from your PC,
your Mac, or your mobile phone, and manage
everything from your ARCHOS 5. Commuting can now
be an occasion to send emails to your friends,
write a post on your blog, or review your plan
for the day.
Web TV and Web Radio
Ever wanted to access web based TV or Radio
stations without having to start up your
computer and sit in front of your web browser?
This feature will come in handy then.
Because finding a WebRadio or a Web TV station
over the internet can be like picking a needle
out of a hay stack. ARCHOS brings your favorite
web Radio and web TV stations directly in your
portable device.
No matter where you are, and as long as you have
a WiFi broadband connection, there's no place on
earth where you can't follow your favorite news,
sports, or music.
In less than 3 clicks, you get your favorite
show live, directly from your ARCHOS without
opening your web browser.
You get both live streaming radio and TV as well
as access to their podcasts. There's no
downloading wait time, it starts playing right

Wherever you are, and whatever Internet music or
shows you want to access, be it sports, news,

ARCHOS selected Opera browser as its web-surfing
application. With Opera, comes a bunch of
widgets, handy small programs which you can
download free and use on your ARCHOS 5.
You can now check the weather before leaving for
work or see the latest sports results without
having to start a new application. Those widgets
come directly out of the box. But with your
ARCHOS 5, you can also play hundreds more.

Check the info from your favorite news site,
search directly for a Google map from your
desktop or find IP addresses instantly. Directly
on you ARCHOS 5 desktop.

Media Club
The Media Club remains the easiest way to get
video and music content on the go. With an even
richer library with new partners and the biggest
industry players, discover a large library of

instantly.
With FNAC, FilmIsNow, TF1, CinemaNow, FilmIsNow,

With Jamendo, FourMusic and MusicMe , the Media
Club features hours of music experience for you
to enjoy, directly on your ARCHOS 5. Because

Downloading is so easy. You can pause and resume
as often as you need. And the Mini Sites are
still developed so that you do not need to

Photos
Browse through your photos with a simple flick
of your finger or play a slideshow of your last
vacations.
The high resolution 800 pixels wide screen
simply magnify the stunning quality and emotion
of your pictures. It's so sharp and precise that
you can zoom in very deep, and pick the tinest
detail that even escaped your eye when you shot
the picture. The only limit will be the native
resolution of the picture.
Without a computer, you can also manage your
photo library by editing albums, creating new
ones. You can create slideshows on the go, and
redefine the transitions and the background
music.
You can also import photos directly and very
quickly from a digital camera, with the optional
DVR Snap-on. That comes in handy if you are
shooting pictures in bracketting mode. You can
then make your selection on a bigger and better

Content streaming from your
PCC
When you are at home and want to watch a movie
or listen to music stored on your PC, protected

browse its hard drive wirelessly and play any

With the DVR Station you can broadcast videos

With the optional DVR Station, you’ll never miss

shows and movies in one step using with the
remote control. Just locate the TV show on the
program guide grid and you’ll have a recording

Content playback and Web surfing on TV
