MemoRight NAND Flash-based Solid State Drive

Base Mounting:
You can mount the Base using four screws in the side-mounting holes or four screws in the
bottom-mounting holes. Follow these important mounting precautions when mounting the drive:

Allow a minimum clearance of 0.030 inches (0.76 mm) around the entire perimeter of the
Base for cooling.
Use only M3 x 9 mounting screws.
Do not over tighten the mounting screws (maximum torque: 4.0 inch-lb).

Mounting Steps:

Mounting 2.5″ Solid State Disk in Base
Four M3x9mm screw for mounting 2.5″ Solid State Disk in the bottom-mounting holes.
Four M3x6mm screw for mounting cover and box in the top-mounting holes.
Four M2x9mm for mounting 3.5″ Base

ATA Interface Signals and Connector Pins:
The connector on MemoRight SATA 3.5″ Base is divided into a signal Segment and a power
Segment. The following tables summarizes the signals on the SATA interface connector. For a
detailed description of these signals, refer to the Draft ATA-6 Standard.

Signal Segment Pin Configuration:
The SATA signal cable uses a protocol transmitted over a 7-pin cable.

Power Segment Pin Configuration:
The SATA power connector consists of 15 pins.

Drive Connecting:
Prepares a SATA flat cable, and connects the Base’s connector and the SATA connector of
mother board by the cable according to the connector pin table. Till here, you have completed the SATA 3.5″ Base installation process.
